From Hero To Zero

You've guessed it. I'm talking Strauss. This is coming from someone who doesn't even like Graeme Smith and who has nothing against the England team. Let me say one thing, if their roles were reversed I would be posting the exact same thing on Biff...I am very dissapointed.

It wasn't a very smart thing to do either. You are still in the country, staying at the Sandton Hotel, right? If I were you, I'd think twice about eating the breakfast that the proudly South African waiter will bring you.

I agree, no sportsmanship at all. Smith was clearly in pain, and allowing the runner would've been a decent thing to do.

KMC, Smith had been batting the entire innings and I think at 40 overs he started cramping, he then asked for a runner, the umpires wanted to get Strauss' approval but he said no, Smith had to hop between the wickets for the rest of his innings. He ended up making 141(134)

Graeme was superb last night, but I do believe Strauss did nothing wrong, cramp is not an injury, anyway we were below par in this tournament and the Strauss issue should not overshadow this. we should be winning these things, we are the number one odi team, it is hard to keep hope with the current set up. perhaps if Graeme had sacrificed his wicket we may have got the singles to have a chance on run rate, cant parney bat. Still it was a majestic knock and well done to Biff, but sad to say I really think his time is up as captain, six attempts now and no Icc trophy, time to give Botha a chance. Smith is admirable for his fighting courage and an outstanding batsman but a captain he is not.

Cheers, thanks for letting me know. Pretty ambiguous aren't they cramps? In the India-SL final in the Compaq tourney, Sachin was also allowed a runner for cramps. But I guess it depends from captain to captain.

I used to respect Strauss, now I dislike him as much as KP.

I think Strauss is sweet, look what he did against the lankans, to be honest I think Graeme is trying to make himself look good and gain some symapthy from the SA public, after all we did come bottom of the group, he was the captain, so anything to divert attention away from this, would be handy for Smith.
