Yes, I've said it. After praising his hobbit ass and calling him the player to watch, the little shit didn't preform in the ICC CT. That is until yesterday. But it's still not good enough. I'll be watching you in the Champions League, buddy.
England had faith in him. I thought they would have replaced him already. But I will give the man a second chance. He hates Smith and that makes it okay.

Lets start with the bad. News just in is that Herschelle Gibbs will miss the first match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. Gibbs sustaned a rib injury but is likely to recover in time for the other games.
"Herschelle suffered a minor rib and intercostal injury in the warm-up match against the West Indies at Potchefstroom on Friday," Brandon Jackson, the South African physiotherapist said.
"We will reassess his position after Tuesday's match with the aim of getting him back on the field either for the New Zealand match on Thursday or the one against England next Sunday."
Who will replace him? I'm betting on Amla.
The good news is that Team Luke is available for the ICC Champions Trophy. He has been passed as fit and will be flying over on Monday.

Although I despise Brett Lee, I will admit that he did a fine job for Australia, 5 for 49, even I am impressed. Not only that, but I stand corrected. Tim Paine might be useless as a keeper but he can actually bat, he made his first international half century.
Luke only made 12 runs with the bat, bowled 6 overs for 26 and didn't take any wickets. Why didn't Strauss let him bowl his full 10 overs? Australia finished with 38 balls to spare, that's why.
We are so fucked
Awe, look at the little baby
I present: The Blowfish
Lee can be such a Paine

How can I get rid of Stuart Broad? He is a bad influence on Luke Wright. Since
Pixie's been sitting on the bench for a neck injury, little Luke has flourished on the field. Luke, Pixie is not your friend.
Don't just stand there KP, make yourself useful!

Okay, so England really sucked. But Luke Wright bowled his little heart out. He bowled 7 overs, taking 1 wicket and only 16 runs were made. This leaves us with wondering why Strauss didn't let him bowl 10?
Next time concentrate on the batting

I haven't used my evil laugh in such a long time. This seams to be appropriate, though. Stuart Broad will not be playing in the 3rd ODI against Australia. Now you might think I'm insane, because the man played a vital role in England's quest, regaining The Ashes. Don't confuse me for an English fan, friends. Just because I am a follower of Team Luke Wright doesn't mean I am all for England. I do admit that I enjoy seeing Australia suffer. Like I have mentioned to Purna, it is imprinted in my DNA to side with Australia's opposition.

With Kevin Pietersen & Andrew Flintoff out of sight for the moment, our favourite Englishman, Luke Wright, will have to assume more responsibility for England's current suffering batting order. -It's time for you to shine.
Even though England has struggled in the opening two ODI games against Australia, Wright did his part by scoring 38 off 27 balls at the Brit Oval and 20 off 19 at Lord’s. But there is a lot more to this man. He even bowled 10 overs for the last game.
Having been tried as an opener with limited success, Wright is enjoying a more familiar role lower down the order, but insists he would play the same way regardless.
The KP & Flintoff absence:
“I have been fortunate in that I’ve always been told to go out and play my natural game in one-day cricket - to go out, strike the ball and have a lot of intent - so from my point of view it doesn’t really matter if I am up the top or down the order...It is not something that has put extra pressure on me...You are always going to miss those guys, as we have seen all summer...As soon as you take those guys out of any team you are going to miss them. I am not sure it is going to add any pressure on me or not. I will just play the way I play and hope it comes off well.”
This is his plan of action:
“With the powerplays coming in, you need to be able to hit boundaries at the end...We have seen the Australians have played the powerplay at the death, so it is something you need to do at the end. I have just got to try to stay in that little bit longer to take advantage.” -Just don't underestimate Lee & Johnson.

For the first half of Sri Lanka's innings we all considered that NZ will win once again. But a fantastic come-back from SL changed everything. Dan's nightmare became a reality.
Now for those who have wondered what my deal is, this is your day. So I'm proudly South African, the Proteas will always be my #1 team. Secondly whenever South Africa is not playing, I tend to side with Team Luke Wright, Sri Lanka & New Zealand. This is why the outcome of todays match didn't bother me that much.
Should I cry or rejoyce?

You carry the fate of us all, little one.
As the battle for Middle-Earth continues, we are left wondering if our hero once again will be called upon to save the day.

Alright, so yesterday was a public holiday in South Africa. Youth Day to be exact. I honoured Wayne Parnell and all the other young cricketers. Can you guess what I have been doing. I made these two lovely pictures of Luke Wright -The Hobbit and Roelof van der Merwe -The Evil Elf. If there is any other characters you can think of let me know then I will see what amazing art I can produce.

I couldnt claim Roelof van der Merwe as my hobbit:
"ROFL is an elf, not a hobbit. An evil elf who sabotages Christmas presents for children all over the world." - Amy S.
Mark Boucher doesnt fit the part. Brendon McCullum was a better choice, him being a New Zeelander and all. (I know, I know, Stereotyping away.) "Bouch & Baz dont spring to mind when think of hobbits." - Esra Star
While watching the England vs India game, I found the perfect man for the job, Luke Wright. He might not be that short but he is the only one having a Pippin/ Merry look. I am making this official. Luke Wright is claimed by boncam as boncam's hobbit.
