Profile: Herschelle Herman Gibbs
South African bad boy. A very talented batsman and fielder. The coolest looking guy in the team.
The first player to hit six sixes in an ODI. In 2006, at The Wanderers, he contributed with 175 from only 111 balls, helping South Africa beat Australia during the World Record, highest scoring ODI match.
Apart from his cricketing skills, Gibbs is most famous for being involved in the Hansie matchfixing saga. Smoking marijuana in West Indies, making racial comments against Pakistan. Being caught for a DUI.
He has completed rehab for drug and alcohol abuse and seems to be on the right track. I am looking forward to one day reading Herschelle Gibbs' autobiography.
